Health & Safety
It is our goal to welcome you to our farm in a fun and responsible manner, and appreciate your support in helping us accomplish this. By purchasing tickets, you agree to follow all posted guidelines.
OUR FARMYARD PROMISE
-
We will be a leader in safe sanitation and hygiene practices in all aspects of our farm including common areas, food preparation, and washroom facilities. Sanitizing stations will be available throughout the farm.
-
We will adhere to all Alberta Health and Safety (AHS) standards.
-
Our animal care standards will remain exceptional, and as always, animal areas will be cleaned daily.
Food & Beverages
Food stands are available with burgers, hot dogs, chicken strips, fries, beverages, and treats (ice cream, mini donuts, pretzels, kettle corn).
The Farmyard is a licensed facility that serves alcohol.
Guests are also welcome to bring in picnic lunches as there are numerous picnic areas, however, no outside alcohol is permitted.
Pet Policy
We love pets and know many of you do too. We have many of our own here at the Farmyard for you to meet, so kindly ask that you leave yours at home. Sorry, no exceptions (except for service dogs with papers and labelled harnesses).
Site Accessibility, What to Wear, & Weather
The Farmyard is primarily an outdoor venue, so we are at the mercy of Mother Nature. It's wet when it's raining, and blazing hot when the sun's out. Dress for the weather (I.e. hats, sunglasses and sunscreen on hot days, and extra layers on cool days). We work hard and play hard out here, so please wear sturdy footwear and clothes that you don't mind if they get a little (or a lot dirty). Leave your fancy high heels or sparkling white sneakers parked in your closets :)
The Farmyard is accessible to wheelchairs, motorized scooters, and strollers most of the time. Pathways are packed gravel, which are rough to navigate, and may become wet and hard to navigate after long periods of heavy rainfall. Wheeled devices and strollers are not recommended in our Field Mazes.
Allergies
When you visit the Calgary Farmyard, you may come in contact with pollen, animals, and insects. Although there is nothing out of the ordinary that you could not come in to contact anywhere else, we do suggest you bring any allergy medications, etc. that you feel are necessary.
